GCSEs
General Certificate of Secondary Education - a set of examinations on a wide range of subjects, usally taken at school, at around 15-16 years of age.
Globalisation
Referring to the economy of the whole world rather than just local or national markets.
GOSE
Government Office for the South East - a body representing Central Government locally, whose aim is to promote better and more effective integration of Government policies and programmes at a regional and local level. A WBP partner.
GP
General Practitioner - a doctor working in a local community, delivering medical services to the general public.
GQA
General Quality Assessment - the chemical grade of the GQA scheme is defined by standards for the concentrations of BOD (biological oxygen demand), ammonia and dissolved oxygen.
