Car sharing
A system whereby, through cooperation between people engaged in geographically similar activities, car journeys are shared, reducing costs and traffic congestion.

Community Action West Berkshire - a WBP partner.
CCB
The Community Council for Berkshire - a WBP partner.
Census
A counting of the population, undertaken every ten years.
CfBT
Originally the Centre for British Teachers - CfBT today is a leading independent provider of education and training services, based in Reading. A not-for-profit organisation, a UK registered charity and a WBP partner.
Commercial Sector
All local businesses and commercial enterprises, considered as a whole. Also called the business or private sector.
Common Agricultural Policy
Agricultural policy of the European Union by which farmers' incomes are maintained through a system of target prices for agricultural commodities.
Community Sector
All local not-for-profit organisations and groups (usually run by volunteers), that cater for people who form a community of place, or of interest (such as disability), considered as a whole. Also called the voluntary sector.
Compact
An agreement between the local public sector and the voluntary / community sector, designed to influence the delivery of services to local people at a strategic level.
Critical Friend
An experienced individual who works in an advisory capacity offering support and guidance to a project or working group.
CTPLD
Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities - a WBC team, and a WBP partner.
